Gentle, Japanese-style acupuncture to restore balance, reduce stress, and support natural healing.
Acupuncture & Natural Medicine · Coolangatta
Soft, Japanese-style acupuncture, cupping, moxa and herbal medicine, in a warm little apothecary above Maverick on Griffith Street. Most people barely feel the needles. Many fall asleep.
What we do
No two treatments at Being are the same. We blend acupuncture, cupping, moxa and herbs, sometimes all in one visit, guided by traditional wisdom and what your body is asking for on the day.

Gentle, Japanese-style acupuncture to restore balance, reduce stress, and support natural healing.

Gentle suction to release tension, improve circulation, and ease discomfort.

A warming treatment using the herb mugwort to stimulate healing and improve energy flow.

Herbal formulas prescribed by qualified practitioners to restore balance and support body systems.

A mindfulness-based approach integrating body, emotion and awareness, for growth and emotional healing.
That's normal. Book a first appointment and we'll figure it out together, that's what the 90 minutes is for.

We've designed Being to treat you, and to nurture you. Exposed brick, soft amber light, an antique velvet chair, herb tinctures on the shelves and an unhurried pace. Trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, we practise a gentle Japanese style of acupuncture, with cupping, moxibustion and herbal remedies to bring you back to health.

A proper chat about you and your lifestyle, gentle diagnosis (we may take your pulse and do a physical check), a tailored treatment, and advice to take home. Unhurried, and yes, most people leave calmer than they came.
How we help
Acupuncture is used to support a wide range of concerns. Common ones we see at Being:
The journal
Gentle reads on Chinese medicine, the seasons, and feeling more like yourself.

if the idea of needles makes you tense up, you're not weird, you're normal. here's why Japanese-style acupuncture feels like almost nothing, and how we keep it gentle.

Spring is in the building, which means Liver season is here. Here's why Traditional Chinese Medicine reads the seasons, the signs your Qi might be stuck, and the simple medicine of greens, movement and letting it out.

A moment for moxa, yo. Here's what that warm, herby, slightly-smoky ritual actually is, why we love it in the clinic, and whether you'll walk out smelling like a campfire (spoiler: not really).
